PublishingPageContent

Close communication is maintained between staff and parents/carers through a variety of avenues including:

  • Daily communication book which travels between home and school each day. The communication book is valued by teachers and assists with understanding any individual needs or considerations your child may require from day-to-day.
  • Seesaw app which allows teachers to communicate any whole class announcements and share photo's and other student achievements (e.g. work samples) to individual family members.
  • Regular meetings with parents and key stakeholders such as teachers and/or therapists to discuss individual student’s programs, progress and also to discuss Individual Curriculum Plans (ICP) or Senior Education and Training (SET) Plans.
  • Fortnightly newsletter to keep parents informed of activities and other news of importance to the whole school.
  • Parents can access the website which is updated regularly.
  • The Principal can be contacted at most times on the general telephone number. This telephone has an after hours voice-mail service and is regularly monitored.

To ensure a satisfactory standard of communication between the school and parents/carers, notification of changes to phone numbers, addresses, medications, respite needs, alternative contacts or guardianship should be made to administration.
