Partnerships with community, families, businesses and other agencies are an essential part of Rockhampton Special School. The following are several ways in which our school currently participates in and promotes community partnerships:
Friendship group with The Cathedral College Rockhampton.
Access to ‘Life Stream’ for physical fitness.
Community access programs across all phases of schooling.
Consultation with support agencies for therapy, child safety, government groups for transport, health and safety.
Work experience with various agencies.
Sporting programs with local schools.
Students participate in performances, presentations and exhibitions at local businesses, galleries and places of interest in the Rockhampton community and as a part of important community events such as ANZAC Day Parade, Disability Action Week, Education Week and the Rockhampton Show.
